News and Events:
We are happy to announce that this Summer/Fall we fully sponsored 40 kids for a 4-day summer camp, and 80 kids for our after-school program, providing classes in Circus Arts, Capoeria, Ceramics and fine art, Drum-making, music and Theatre at the United Playaz Headquarters. United Playaz is a violence prevention and youth leadership organization that works with San Francisco's hardest to reach youth through street outreach, case management, in-school services, recreational activities, and support to incarcerated youth.
We will be continuing into 2012 with these free classes and also commencing our Oakland free classes.

Living Dream Arts was honored to be named as one of the 2 charities benefitting from this incredible event. The gala was primarily a fundraiser to produce "Don't Shoot! I'm the Guitar Man", a film based on Buzzy Martin's book with the same title. Buzzy wrote the book to shed light on what life is really like at San Quentin State Prison where he spent several years teaching music to inmates. He supports any programs that help keep youth out of prison, and so the folks at Prodigy Entertainment felt that Living Dream Arts would make a good partner for this gala event. We agree! Prodigy donated a significant portion of the proceeds to Living Dream Arts and The Performance Art Institute, and use the rest to finish producing this extraordinary film.

Living Dream Arts is partnering with the world class dinner theater, Teatro ZinZanni. Teatro ZinZanni will host a 10 week VAGABOOM! after-school circus arts progam for kids from underserved communities, dates TBA. We are very excited about this partnership and can't wait to bring the kids to a world class space to learn arts and skills they never imagined possible! Stay tuned.
